Brother Golfers!
The LRIGL Executive Board has held
several meetings thus far, all
graciously hosted by President Wayne
Caron in far-away West Alton. Topics
discussed included the 2010 schedule,
finances, sponsors for the upcoming
year, Rules and By-Laws, Play-Offs
and several other topics. The Board
is preparing and looking forward to
what should be an enjoyable 2010
Season. Let's hope Mother Nature
co-operates better this year than
last.
By now,
all of last Season's Members should
have received your Membership
packages in the mail for the upcoming
season. With a notable
exception regarding the President's
Cup Tournament (see the 'Schedule'
Page for details), the format this
year mirrors that of last several
years, i.e., 16 weeks of match play,
plus playoffs, on Thursday evenings
at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club. The
annual League dues fee will be
$75.00, the same as it was last year.
As you know, dues are used to offset
the cost of the mid-season cookout,
the end of the season banquet, the
year end Team Prizes, and the Weekly
Prizes during the season. As you will
see in your membership package,
weekly Green Fees will increase $1.00
to $17.00, but motorized carts will
remain at last year's price of $9.00
per person for nine holes.
The Board anticipates that most of
last season's members will be
returning, so at this time, we are
not pro-actively seeking any new
members. However, we will accept
accept and consider new membership
applications as any openings become
available. The number of openings
will be determined at the time of the
Spring Kick-Off Meeting. The Link below to
the Application pdf is currently
enabled. Anyone interested in
applying for the 2010 Season may do
so at anytime. Please be aware that
new member applications are
considered in the order that they are
received and the number of available
openings is very small. As of the
date of this update, it is likely
that anyone who submits an
application now will be placed on the
League's Wait List. The Board urges
all of you to attend the Spring
Kick-Off Meeting to ascertain your
likelihood of being selected for
placement on a Team.
Note that this year's General
Membership Spring Kick-Off Meeting
will be held on Thursday, April 1,
2010 at 6:30 PM, sharp, in the main
hall at Pheasant Ridge Country Club.
The door
opens at 6:00 PM. All
membership applications must be
submitted and paid for no later than
this April 1st date. We will discuss
any changes for the upcoming year and
other important information with
regard to the upcoming season. The
Board hopes that all returning and
prospective new members will attend.
