The LRIGL Executive Board has held several meetings thus far this snowy winter, all graciously hosted by incoming President Wayne Caron. Topics discussed included the 2008 schedule, finances, sponsors for the upcoming year, Rules and By-Laws, and several other topics. The Board is preparing and looking forward to what should be an enjoyable 2008 season, when the snow finally melts!

By now, you should have received your Membership package in the mail for the upcoming season. The format this year mirrors that of last several years, i.e., 16 weeks of match play, plus playoffs, on Thursday evenings at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club. League dues remain at $70.00, the same as the past four years. As you know, dues are used to offset the cost of the mid-season cookout, the end of the season banquet & prizes, and the weekly prizes during the season. As you saw in your membership package, Green Fees will be $16.00 weekly (up a buck from last year) and motorized carts will remain at last year's price of $9.00 per person for nine holes.

The Board anticipates that most of last season's members will be returning, so at this time, we are not actively seeking any new members. We will not be accepting any new membership applications until we determine the exact number of last year's returning members.

Note that this year, the General Membership Kick-Off Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 6:30 PM, sharp, in the main hall at Pheasant Ridge Country Club. This is one week earlier than has been traditional in previous years, so mark it on your calendar! All membership applications must be submitted and paid for no later than this March 27th date. We will discuss any rule changes for the upcoming year and other important information. The Board hopes that all of you will attend. This meeting is for your benefit.
